Terms of Service

Kin is for adults seeking a serious relationship. By applying, you confirm that you are at least 21, that information in your dossier is truthful to the best of your knowledge, and that you are not using Kin for casual hookups or commercial solicitation.

A person on the Kin team reviews every application before in-depth screening. Kin may approve an application, ask you to update it and resubmit, or keep it on the waitlist, at its discretion and without being required to give a reason. Once approved, you complete in-depth screening, accept the Matchmaking Agreement, and verify your identity before your profile enters the matching pool.

Applying, the application review, in-depth screening, verification, and letting Kin search are free. When interest is mutual and you want to proceed, one member of the pair chooses a plan: First Introduction ($199), a one-time payment available once per member, with 3 months of matchmaking and 1 introduction credit; or Continue with Kin ($699 / year), a yearly subscription with 12 months of matchmaking and 3 introduction credits per year. Continue with Kin renews automatically each year until you cancel.

Membership is the period during which Kin actively searches for you. A credit is used only when an introduction is delivered; cancelled or undelivered introductions do not use a credit. At each yearly renewal, your available credits reset to 3. Credits left when a membership ends without renewing stay on your account, and Kin keeps searching until they are delivered. Completing a dossier or paying does not guarantee a relationship or any romantic outcome. Membership is selective; Kin may decline or end membership at its discretion.

Identity remains private until mutual interest. Verification documents are reviewed by Kin only and are not shared as raw files with matches. See the Privacy Policy for details.

You agree not to harass, threaten, misrepresent yourself, scrape or abuse the service, or share another member’s information outside Kin. Violation may result in immediate removal without refund for the current period, except as required by law or our Refund Policy.

First Introduction is charged once and does not renew. Continue with Kin is charged at purchase and again on each yearly renewal date. You may cancel renewal at any time from account settings; you keep matchmaking through the year already paid. Cancellation stops future charges and does not by itself refund the current year. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy. Pausing does not create a refund.

Kin provides a matchmaking service, not a guarantee of marriage, partnership, or compatibility. Introductions depend on pool availability, fit, and mutual interest. Membership does not include an introduction-count refund.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kin’s liability arising from these Terms or the service is limited to the membership fees you paid for the then-current membership period. Kin is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including outcomes of introductions or meetings arranged between members.
