Everything you want to know about Kin.
No. Kin is private matchmaking — not a browseable dating pool. There’s no swiping and no public directory. You tell Kin who you are and who you’re looking for; Kin searches on your behalf.
Gay men ready for a serious relationship — people who want to meet someone with intent, not browse casually or meet as many people as possible. If that isn’t you, Kin probably isn’t either.
Fill in the basics — who you are, how you live, and who you’re looking for. A person on the Kin team reviews every application and usually emails you within 24 hours: approved, one update requested, or kept on the waitlist for now. Once approved, you complete an in-depth screening with Kin, accept the member agreement, and verify your identity — then Kin starts searching for you.
You tell Kin who you are, what you want, and what actually matters. Kin considers attraction, lifestyle, values, relationship goals, preferences, and location — then searches a private, verified network for people worth introducing. Quality over quantity.
You get a private introduction. You decide privately. If you both say yes, identities unlock and Kin helps you take the next step. If not, Kin keeps searching.
Pass. Kin keeps looking. The other person isn’t told why. If you share what felt off, Kin can use that to improve the next search.
A limited introduction — not your name, and not a clear photo. They may see things like age, city, and why Kin thought you might be a fit. Full identity unlocks only after mutual interest. Contact details are never part of that reveal.
There’s no public profile and no browseable pool. People only see you if Kin introduces you — and even then, identity unlocks only after mutual interest. Matching is designed to process your information with technology and minimize unnecessary human access. Limited human access may still happen for verification, support, safety, or operations.
So Kin can search on your behalf. Screening and preferences stay with Kin for matching — they’re not shown to other members as a questionnaire.
Kin may verify identity, education, and employment. Documents are used only for verification. Other members never see the files — only a Verified result. Kin keeps documents as needed for review and safety, and deletes them when you delete your account.
Same idea: someone gets to know you and searches for you. Kin does it with AI at dating-app scale — systematically considering what you share, introducing one person at a time, without making you browse a pool. It’s built to minimize unnecessary human review of sensitive matching details.
Joining, screening, verification, and Kin’s search are free. You pay only when there’s mutual interest and you want the introduction — and only one of you needs to. New members start with First Introduction: $199 one-time for 3 months of matchmaking and 1 curated introduction. After that, Continue with Kin is $699 a year with 3 introductions each year; it renews yearly and you can cancel anytime. A credit is used only when an introduction is delivered. At each renewal your available introductions refresh to 3; if you cancel, any left stay on your account. You’ll see full details before you pay.
Kin searches on a weekly cycle and introduces you when someone is genuinely worth meeting — not to fill a quota. There’s no set number of dates per month. Quality over quantity.
Kin currently matches in select U.S. cities: San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Boston, Austin, Miami, Washington DC, and Denver. If you live in one of those cities — or can travel there to meet — Kin can search for you. More cities coming soon.
No. Kin searches carefully and introduces you when there’s a real reason to — but membership doesn’t guarantee a relationship, or any specific number of introductions. An exclusive relationship is the aim; clearer intent along the way counts too.
